DML/Babcock Nuclear Fuel Handling Tower
Westbury Park Engineering was commissioned to design and manufacture a custom nuclear fuel handling tower for the refueling of Trident submarines at HMNB Devonport Docks, Plymouth. This critical infrastructure project involved advanced seismic design and the fabrication of specialized dockside access platforms.
Our team meticulously engineered the structure to meet stringent safety and operational standards, ensuring it could withstand seismic activity and provide secure access for fuel handling operations. Once fabricated, the tower underwent a full trial assembly at our facility before being successfully installed on-site.
